{"id":207,"date":"2013-08-27T19:52:48","date_gmt":"2013-08-28T02:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bornski.com\/maria\/blog\/?p=207"},"modified":"2022-11-21T13:54:05","modified_gmt":"2022-11-21T21:54:05","slug":"pico-de-gallo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bornski.com\/maria\/blog\/2013\/08\/27\/pico-de-gallo\/","title":{"rendered":"Pico de Gallo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I just harvested a bunch of tomatoes from the garden but we&#8217;re about to go out of town for a week, so I made a big bowl of pico de gallo in the hopes of eating the tomatoes before we leave.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what I used:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10-ish tomatoes, chopped<\/li>\n<li>2-ish cups white onion, chopped<\/li>\n<li>3 jalepenos, diced<\/li>\n<li>1 serrano, diced<\/li>\n<li>1 lime, squeezed<\/li>\n<li>4-ish drizzles olive oil<\/li>\n<li>salt, to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I chopped the tomatoes first, and tailored the other quantities of ingredients to that. \u00a0I then added everything else to taste. \u00a0 It&#8217;s not very spicy, except when I get a piece of jalepeno or serrano. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t add more pepper, though, as it will get spicier as it sits.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bornski.com\/maria\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMAG0832.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-208 aligncenter\" alt=\"IMAG0832\" src=\"https:\/\/bornski.com\/maria\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMAG0832-300x169.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bornski.com\/maria\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMAG0832-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bornski.com\/maria\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMAG0832-1024x577.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bornski.com\/maria\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMAG0832-624x351.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I just harvested a bunch of tomatoes from the garden but we&#8217;re about to go out of town for a week, so I made a big bowl of pico de gallo in the hopes of eating the tomatoes before we leave.
